London Fashion Week Josh Goot S/S10

September 25, 2009

This show was in a carpark in London. I always think the fashion pack must look hilarious to passers by, all tottering in their heels towards grimy and unexpected venues! It must be quite a sight. Josh Goot is an Aussie designer and his collection was very bright, featuring some sharp shoulders. There was a good mix of casual and smart but all with a twist of orange or fuschia pink.

London Fashion Week Temperley S/S10

September 25, 2009

After Aquascutum we headed to Sketch (a very cool nightclub in London) for another presentation this time  from Temperley London. Alice Temperley showed in New York this year and this was for the British press to look at the collection.  It was a beautifully lit room which gave it a real theatrical quality. We arrived a little early so we had cake and tea there; the cappuccino Marcella had had some of the best froth I have ever seen! I enjoyed walking round at my own pace taking photos and people-watching. Alice Temperley was there, it always great to see a designer representing their clothes. The collection was called ‘Circus’ and based on 1920’s/30’s circuses. They had built a huge central projector from scratch which showed circus acts moving around the room.

London Fashion Week Aquascutum S/S1O

September 25, 2009

Aquascutum did a presentation this year at their Regent Street store. I went with Marcella Martinelli and we managed to catch a showing of the clothes. It was it a small room and we were all on one side as the models did a circuit. I got very excited because Coco Rocha, one of my favourite models, was walking in the show, also Chanel Iman who I’d seen the night before at the Mulberry party, though clearly not enjoying the apple vodkas like I was! Also a face I’ve seen a lot this week is Sessilee Lopez, who is beautiful and has a great walk.  What’s also nice about a presentation is that you then get to look at the clothes, touch them and get a real feel for the fabrics, details etc.
